Hello Northern Darkness!

I am Darth Katz from Kalamazoo, MI. I am currently volunteering with the Great Lakes Garrison and working on finishing up my Darth Vader costume. Yes a female! I have done some comicons already with parts of the suit that I borrowed. Since I graduated with a 2nd BS degree in Dec (and free from homework) I can now finish in the next few months and get to trooping.
I have helped out at many events with my home State Garrison in the past 2 years such as hockey games, baseball games, and library events that I would like to get out and meet other members. I have also been to both Celebration 5 and 6 and waiting for 7! I have a video posted on You Tube of my Fem Vader if you are interested in watching. I also did Dragon Con in 2011 with another costume from a different show.
I look forward to meeting and trooping with you when I am finished!

Yeah, I have been around. I just finished a 2nd BS degree in December so school had to come first. I am going full force to get r done since I have no more homework. Got seamstress appointment this Saturday, boots are at shoe guy, helmet and armor is being done and is currently shaping for downsized product as we speak, shopping for foam for shins (actually I did that last night). I have had some bad bumps and hiccups along my costume building adventure in the past 2 years. Being female doing a common male costume has not been easy. (I could write a term paper on this one!LOL)
An armor party would be great. Is there a Vader trooper in your clan? Where are the meetings held?
