Hi Kyle. We have a couple people in the Garrison with that costume. Hopefully they can help point you in the right direction.

Hi Kyle!

I've been in the long process of putting a Naval Officer costume together for my dad.

There's a few makers of helmets out there-namely Walt's and Moncal.

We have a Walt's and I hate it. It's terrible quality, it comes with no instructions AT ALL and all around it's a terrible piece.

The other officers we have in the garrison-namely Mark Ryner and Gary Moughler have Moncal helmets. I don't believe there's a specific page you go to to get the helmets, but if you join the Officers Forums they might be able to lead you the right way. I like these helmets a lot more and they come assembled for a good quarter of the price that I spent on the Walt's.

Here's a link to the officer forums.

For the uniform-I believe you're going for the dress uniform, correct? Try CosplaySky. They make a good officer uniform and I love my Dad's. I have no complaints with it at all.

The nice thing about this uniform is with a hat and a rank bar, you can be a plain old officer as well, which is nice.

If you're going for the regular old grunt CosplaySky has a jumpsuit as well that's fairly good quality.

Gloves, I found on ebay for about $30 and they're real leather and very soft.

Boots are tricky and it took a lot of searching before I found some Soviet made Jackboots.

Here's a good website for authentic leather German/Soviet era boots like they wore in the movies. I would recommend snatching up a pair that works when you find them because they tend to sell out fast.

Belts are pretty standard. I got mine on Etsy.

Rank bars are pretty standard. I recommend Darth Cleavage's bars. She has a fast delivery turn around and they're really well made.

Hope this helps a bit!

Gary has a helmet made by Radu Plucinsky who you can find on Facebook, and is very nice quality and was a decent turn around. I highly recommend not getting anything from moncal as you will be waiting years to get any product from them and their communication is terrible.

Cosplaysky is kinda the go to place now for officer uniforms. Belts, buckles, belt boxes, rank bars, etc. can all be found on etsy or on the officer forums as Molly mentioned. Hardest part is definitely going to be the boots.

Welcome to the forums!

I want to echo the good advice already given. Most of all, come to the IOC website, you'll find lots of information there. http://www.imperialofficer.com/forum/index.php

I had a MC helmet, and it was great. But the only way I got it was he was local... purchasing from him online is a PITA.

It is a fun kit, I had it for years and loved my "wok of doom!"
